A New Day

Today seems to be a day of firsts for me and the people around me. This is the first blog I have ever written. It is a very new concept for me, and I hope that it goes well. Another first for me, I am typing this on my brand new computer. I've always used hand-me-down computers, so I am very excited to have my own, brand-new computer. My old computer was barely getting me by in my online-based classes, so I am looking forward to easier access to all my online homework, beginning with this blog.
My sister moved in to her first apartment this weekend. She recently started teaching at Sparkman High School after receiving her math education degree from Troy University. Erin, though the second child in my family, was the first to get an apartment on her own. My oldest sister, Katie spent a year in France after graduating college, and is now living with friends until she gets a steady job.
Last weekend was my very first college football game. I march in the marching band here at UA. It was AMAZING to perform for almost 100,000. I marched in high school for six years. Our band was very good, and we always entertained the crowd. College football is so much different, especially here at alabama.
So, my first blog, almost over, and I think that I am still myself. Many people say blogging and online activities can change you into someone you aren't. I'm still Laney. And I have survived my very first blog.
