Chris Picks

I was browsing a website called "Top 100 Bloggers" when I came across a blog called "Chris Picks." (http://chris-pix.blogspot.com/) I think this blog is particularly interesting because it is completely focused on music. We have talked a lot in class about the internet as an outlet for self expression and I think music is a great example of how people express themselves and how they relate to others. Music is an interesting form of communication because there are so many different genres. Chris' blog is simply a collection of his favorite music but he also includes a music video for people to watch. When I think of blogs I immediately think of an online diary, so I think this blog is interesting because it does not contain much writing. Chris shows how music can communicate a message without necessarily having to include much explanation. A person could learn a lot of Chris from the music he enjoys and the types of lyrics he can relate to. I also like the layout of this blog because it is easy to navigate and doesn't have a distracting background.

The reason I chose to search for a blog is because I think the most interesting thing about the internet is that anyone can post anything. I think it is fascinating to see the different ways that people choose to express themselves and this is one of the first bloggers I have come across that chose to use music in his posts.
